Mark Zuckerberg has announced that Facebook’s name will now be changed to Meta to represent the company’s metaverse idea as “next chapter” online during an event broadcast live on Thursday.

“To show who we are and what we hope to build I am proud to announce, from today our company is Meta,” Zuckerberg said. “Our goal is still the same, it is still to unite people,” he added, adding that we are still a technology company in the community.”We now have a new northern star that is helping to bring life,” Zuckerberg said.

We have learned a lot about struggling with social problems and living under closed spaces, and now it is time to take everything we have learned and help build the next chapter, ”said Zuckerberg.However, Zuckerberg asserted that “our apps and their products, they don’t change”.
Facebook founder Zuckerberg spoke about the vision of the social media giant about the metaverse at an important live broadcast event.
“Metaverse will have richer ways of connecting,” Zuckerberg said during a live video linking as he described the visual concept as a way to “connect with people”.
